Blessing and Ribbon-Cutting for the new SBC Senior High Building
St. Bridget College Batangas held a blessing and a ribbon cutting ceremony Saturday, May 7, 2016 for its newly constructed Senior High School building. The program was held outside the new SHS building and the right of blessing was offered by Rev. Fr. Oscar “Odong” Dimaapi, the Basilica of the Immaculate Concepcion Parish priest.
“May the Lord bless this building so that the new wave of Bridgetines who will seek learning under its roof may continue to transform our society into a loving and compassionate community of God, ever willing to let their light shine brilliantly to any part of the country and the world,” said Sr. Bernadette.
A host of well-wishers, RGS from the Good Shepherd Provincialate and other countries like Italy, Myanmar, Japan and Indonesia attended the blessing. Sr. Mary Lydia Ebora, RGS, predecessor to Sr. Mary Bernadette Guzman, who initiated the construction also graced the occasion.
Sr. Regina Kuizon, RGS expressed her joy and hope for the new building as she emphasized: “this new building will carry on our evangelical mission.”
A ceremonial ribbon cutting by Sr. Mary Regina Kuizon, RGS, Province Leader assisted by Sr. Mary Bernadette Guzman, RGS, Ph.D and other school administrators ended the event, which was followed by a reception at the newly opened building.
