College Department celebrates St. Mary Euphrasia’s 222nd birthday
As a sign of support, College Department participated the thanksgiving mass as part of the institutional celebration of SME’s 222nd birthday at SBC Gymnasium, Jul. 31.
Fr. Bladimir Calingasan, Archdiocesan Director for Vocation, mass presider, shared his personal accounts and experiences about priesthood. He also highlighted the different purposes of vocations in humanity during the celebration of the Most Holy Eucharist Mass.
After the mass, different congregations were introduced by Gilbert Manalo, Youth On Paschal Exodus (YOPE) Moderator, such as St. Francis de Sales Seminary, Order of Minims, Religious of the Good Shepherd, Missionary Catechist of the Sacred Heart, Franciscan Missionary Sister of the Infant Jesus, Sister of St. Paul Congregation and Missionary Sister of Catechism.
College Department also conducted class encounter with the invited congregations. All congregations prepared booths which the students explored by course to emphasize how they serve God according to their missions, teachings and values of their vocation. They also answered the students’ queries about the vocation.
The celebration ended with the awarding of certificates and tokens given to the different congregations.
Prior to the celebration, YOPE, St. Mary Euphrasia Organization (SMEO), faculty and staff, and students conducted a triduum for SME.
