SBC celebrates Lay Mission Partnership


Celebrating the Lay Mission Partnership, St. Bridget College enjoined all the members of its academic community together with the Religious of the Good Shepherd Sisters for a day of gathering at MQPA, Oct. 1,2018.

Inspired with the theme, “Sama-samang Selebrasyon ng Magkatuwang sa Misyon”, Lay Mission Partner’s and Teachers’ Day were celebrated as one.

The event kicked off with the celebration of the Holy Eucharist presided by Msgr. Rafael “Boy” Oriondo, parish priest of the Holy Trinity Parish. In his homily, he emphasized that the lay mission partners and the RGS Sisters must work together to carry out its mission and responsibilities.

Sr. Mary Carmelita Arenas, RGS in her talk about the history and importance of Lay Mission Partnership accentuated that the employees of SBC are not just workers but also their partners in molding the bright future of all the Bridgetines.

The first half of the event ended with the Rite of Pagpapanibago at Pagsusugo where Sr. Mary Clare Bagot, RGS awarded certificates of recognition to all the lay mission partners.

To give way to the celebration of World Teachers’ Day, a sumptuous lunch was prepared for everyone. Meanwhile in the afternoon, the community enjoyed recreational activities like videoke singing and Bingo Sosyal.

The event ended with a closing prayer.
