Luceat lux vestra in mundo!

These words captured the experience of two Bridgetine faculty as they presented researches and garnered awards in the 1st World Conference on Education, Law, and Technology (WCELT) 2019 in Almeroz Hotel, Bangkok, Thailand, January 30-31, 2019.

Prof. Amor L. Borbon, Institutional Research Planning and Publications (IRPP) officer, garnered the Best Abstract in Education Award and Best in Oral Presentation for her research titled “Appraisal of Multicultural Education in Higher Education: The Case of St. Bridget College.”

On the other hand, Dr. Imelda B. Vergara, Education Program Chairperson, was adjudged Best in Oral Presentation for her research presentation on Synergy in Trifold Functions of Teacher Education Faculty as Basis for Performance Intensification Framework. She also served as session chair in one of the conference sessions.

The said mentors presented their studies together with other researchers and presenters from Thailand, Indonesia, Pakistan, Vietnam, Bangladesh, and Philippines.

Aside from research presentations, the mentors, together with other participants, also had the opportunity to visit Thammasat University, one of the best known and respected institutions in Thailand and second oldest university in the country, for benchmarking.  They also explored the city and neighboring places in a tour to its popular tourist destinations.

The event was organized by the International Organization of Educators and Researchers, Inc. (IOER). Highlighting the theme “Amalgamation of Knowledge Across the Globe Towards Success”, it intended to intensify collaboration, expand partnership and share innovative ideas, practices, experiences and research results from various disciplines.
