St. John Eudes awardee tops the 297 graduates
“Never give up for we are the future of this nation and even of the entire world.”
Jaedon Ericho Villena, rank 1 and St. John Eudes awardee posed this challenge as he delivered his farewell address during the 99th commencement exercises held at SBC Manuela Q. Pastor Auditorium, April 12.
The other pupils who were awarded as with high honors were Reinald Arne Bool, rank 2, Julien Airam Contreras, rank 3, Elysa Macaraig, rank 4 and Joyce Jane Javier, rank 5. They got an average of 95-97 with no grade lower than 88.
Meanwhile, 80 pupils were also awarded as with honors. They garnered an average of 90-94 with no grade lower than 88.
St. Bridget College also gave medals to 20 pupils who excelled in the different subject areas.
Villena received the St. John Eudes (SJE) award while Zoe Alyssa Ysabela Eroa was the recipient of St. Mary Euphrasia (SME) award. SJE award is given to a male graduate who has exemplified the spirit of St. John Eudes, the founder of Our Lady of Charity of the Refuge while SME is awarded to a female graduate who exemplifies the spirit of St. Mary Euphrasia, the foundress of Our Lady of the Good Shepherd.
Furthermore, SBC also recognized its employees for their dedication and commitment as lay mission partners. Mrs. Diosa Dimaunahan and Mrs. Janneth Sunto received plaque of appreciation for their 20 years of service. Ms. Fermina Marasigan was also awarded for her 40 years of contributing significantly in the fulfillment of the school’s vision and mission.
Dra. Anna Maria Clara Palacios led the graduates in their oath taking to the alumni association.
The Holy Mass presided by Rev. Fr. Ephraim Cabrera, parish priest of Nuestra Señora Dela Merced in Taysan, Batangas, and the graduation ceremony focused on the theme “Bridgetine in Mission: Beloved, Gifted, Empowered”.
