In line with the celebration of SBC 104th Foundation Day, Bridgetine community highlighted the significant events and progress of the institution of each decade and explained RGS thrust and Core Values, St. Bridget College, Batangas City, Feb. 1.
The theme of the celebration was “Sama-Samang Pagdiriwang at Pasasalamat sa Ikasanda’at Apat.”
Prior to the celebration, there were chosen mutyas from each level and department to represent each decade starting from Mutya ng Unang Dekada until Mutya ng Pagdiriwang at Sentinaryo. Aside from each decade, there were also representatives of the Religious of the Good Shepherd’s Thrusts such as Women, Justice, Peace and Integrity of Creation as well as the institutions core values like compassion, zeal, service, integrity, justice and nationalism.
Mr. Angelito Jareño, Senior High School Faculty and Mrs. Imelda B. Vergara, Education Program Chairperson, read the salient happenings and notable development and progress in each decade, core values and RGS’ thrusts as they served as the master of the ceremony.
As part of the Foundation Day, there was a Celebration of the Holy Eucharist at the Basilica Immaculate Conception which was participated by all Grade 5 and 6, Grade 7 and 8, and SHS and selected College students under Rev. Msgr. Rafael “Boy” Oriondo as the mass presider.
Each department also conducted a prayer service as a sign of thanksgiving prior to the celebration of foundation day. All Bridgetine students also had their Palarong Pinoy and creative performances by each department respectively.
On the other hand, all faculty members and staff engaged in Palarong Pinoy, in the afternoon, as part of the institution’s celebration spearhead by all MAPEH teacher of all department such as kadang-kadang, sack race, palosebo, basagan ng palayok, touch ball, ang tug of war.
