De Chavez heads JHS completers

Hailing the achievements of 482 Grade 10 sudents led by the Top 1 Christine Dorothy B. De Chavez, the 2nd Moving up Ceremony was commenced with the theme “Bridgetines Building Communion of Communities” held at the Batangas City Sports Coliseum, March 30.

Tristan Joseph A. Alcantara was recognized as Rank 2, and Claire C. Bathan, the Rank 3. Josh Andrew M. Martija prevailed as Rank 4. Meanwhile, Louise Jastin I. Beron and Martin Alfonso Bonilla, ranked 5 and 6 respectively.

Furthermore, Eoline T. Ilagan, Janah N. Yang, Robert Adrian E. Ng, and Paul Michael C. Dimayuga were recognized as the Rank 7, Rank 8, Rank 9 and Rank 10, respectively.

The ceremony began with the processional march of the Junior High School cpmpleters, followed by the personnel, SBC administrators, and Religious of the Good Shepherd Sisters. The entrance of colors by the selected Grade 9  MOCC aspirants was followed by the national anthem and the SBC Hymn, and the opening prayer was led by Tristan Joseph A. Alcantara, graced by the Senior Repertory Brigid.

Christine Dorothy B. De Chavez delivered her welcome address which was followed by an inspirational message to the completers by the school president, Sr. Mary Bernadette Guzman, RGS, Ph.D. The introduction to the graduation rites was given by Claire C. Bathan.

Non-academic and academic awards were then presented to several graduates, token for their efforts and contributions to different extra-curricular activities.

The presentation and handing over of the ceremonial golden laurel to Rank 1, Christine Dorothy B. De Chavez, concluded the awarding rites which was then follow by staff recognitions and appreciation.

Some of the distinct members of St. Bridget College Junior High School community were awarded with certificates of appreciation for their dedicated service in the institution. Mrs. Sayra B. Aclan, Mr. Amado Ariel Hagos, Mr. Alvine Ramirez and Ms. Mary Grace A. Rivera were recognized for 10 years of service, while Mrs. Leonora M. Rosales was given honor for her 27 years of service.

Mrs. Rossana P. Bagon, IBED Principal, led the presentation of graduates, and the completers were awarded with certificates of completion. The students transferred their ceremonial sashes, the alambay, as a sign of moving up from the Junior High School level and the ceremony ended with the singing of the Moving Up song “Moving On, Moving Up” and the exit of colors and faculty.
