Bridgetine Girl Scouts joined more than a hundred Senior and Cadet Scouts in the celebration of Linggo ng Kabataan 2026 – Araw ng Paghahalubilo on August 8 at the Batangas City Convention Center.

Held under the theme “Different Contexts, Common Aspirations,” the event brought together youth organizations for a day of activities focused on youth participation, leadership, and community engagement despite the rainy weather.

The program began with a Holy Mass presided over by Rev. Fr. Bartolome Ermita Villafranca, who highlighted the role of young people in contributing to the good of the community and the world.

In his opening remarks, Hon. Sherwin C. Tejada of the SK Federation Batangas City emphasized the need to develop the strength, unity, and potential of Batangueño youth through activities that bring young people together.

The participants also took part in Filipino games and perya games prepared by the SK Federation Batangas City, in partnership with the Batangas City Youth Development Council, led by Mr. Nelberth D. Magbanua, SBC alumnus. The participating organizations competed for a cash prize of ₱20,000.

The gathering provided the participating youth organizations with an opportunity to interact, compete, and take part in activities centered on youth participation and cooperation.

The SK Federation Batangas City expressed its hope that the event would encourage young people to remain united as they face challenges and work toward their aspirations.
