As 2026 unfolded and the School Year 2025–2026 reached its halfway through, the faculty and staff of St. Bridget College gathered for the Institutional Mid-Year Assembly on January 9, 2026, at the Manuela Q. Pastor Auditorium. This year’s theme, “Celebrating Our Story: Halfway Through and Beyond,” highlighted reflection on achievements and recognition of service.

The program formally began with a prayer service led by Mrs. Ma. Socorro Lalap, Center for Formation and Praxis Officer, together with Sr. Ma. Añanita Borbon, RGS, PhD, college president, and the Executive Committee members. In the prayer offering, a parade of lights was done as an invitation to reflect on God’s constant presence in leadership, decisions, and service that the institution offers.

Sr. Ma. Añanita Borbon, RGS, PhD, College President, delivered an inspirational message and shared the mid-year highlights for the School Year 2025–2026, addressing various matters and accomplishments within the institution.

The departments of Basic Education and College shared their accomplishments and updates. This was followed by the presentation of awards to office staff and non-teaching personnel.

The Quality Service Excellence Award was given to Ms. Leoncia C. Catapang; Mr. Prince F. Cervantes; Mrs. Ellen M. Merida; and Mrs. Josefina I. Montalbo. The Most Reliable Staff Award was awarded to Ms. Maria Ethel B. Atienza; Mr. Alexis M. Catapang; Mrs. Luz C. Dimaunahan; Ms. Andrea M. Kalalo; and Mrs. Ma. Loida R. Fabregas. The Efficiency and Productivity Award was presented to Mrs. Rosalie L. Aguila; Mrs. Mildred B. Catapang, Ms. Faith Marie Sy; and Mrs. Lelibeth G. Valdez. The Digital Transformation Champion Award was given to Ms. Maria Ethel B. Atienza; Mrs. Alexis M. Catapang; and Ms. Rodelyn L. Felicidario. The Customer Care and Courtesy Award was awarded to Mrs. Medy A. Bautista and Ms. Leoncia C. Catapang

To add a cheerful note to the event, the institutional choir performed an intermission number. Other departments, including HRMDO, IRPPO, Finance, ITMSO, CSSAO, QA, and ERAO, also presented their accomplishments and highlights.

Presentation of awards for faculty and administration began with the Service Excellence in Teaching Award given to Mrs. Fe S. Babao; Ms. Lea Chariz A. Castillo; Mrs. Melba P. Comendador; Ms. Lea A. Flores; Mrs. Kristine P. Jabat; and Mrs. Marcel M. Volante.

The Commitment to Continuous Improvement Award for Faculty was presented to Mrs. Maria Grace D. Andal; Ms. Gina Z. Medrano; Ms. Analyn F. Nadala; Ms. Bianchie Nicole D. Pablo; Ms. Jiselle Marie S. Palma; Ms. Aimee Patriz C. Ramos; and Ms. Jessa Mae C. Vilela.

The Innovative Educator Award for Faculty was awarded to Ms. Bea Lorraine B. Blanco; Mr. Jimmvel C. Castillo; Mr. Paul Vincent M. Ilagan; Mrs. Janice A. Pevidal; Ms. Princess Camille D. Rempillo; Mr. John Emyard Valdez; and Ms. Jhoanna Marie B. Vergara.

The Quality Champion Teacher Award was given to Mrs. Lea B. Abacan; Mrs. Ailyn E. Abando; Mrs. Catherine C. Aclan; Mr. Paul Vincent M. Ilagan; Mrs. Irene R. Briobo; Mrs. Melba O. Comendador; Ms. Lea A. Flores; Mrs. Sheryl I. Garcia; Mrs. Kristine P. Jabat; and Mrs. Gengky D. Suarez.

The Commitment to Continuous Improvement Award (Administrative Level) was given to Mr. Marvin T. Agusto; Mrs. Rosalie C. Albestor; Mrs. Desiree I. Borillo; Mrs. Maria Grace D. Contreras; Mr. Ryan T. Gamboa; Mrs. Maria Socorro M. Lalap; Mrs. Julieta D. Macalalad; and Mrs. Eugenia Marites D. Quinio.

The SBC Ambassador Award was presented to Dr. Amor L. Borbon; Dr. Bernardette I. Manalo; and Dr. Imelda B. Vergara.

Perfect Attendance Award was also given to Mr. Fernando R. Cultura; Ms. Roxanne F. Aquino; Ms. Angelica B. Ramos; Ms. Aimee Patriz C. Ramos; and Dr. Imelda B. Vergara.

An intermission performance by invited singer Hershey De Castro, also known as Samgyup Diva, added to the lively atmosphere. The presentation of awards for outstanding employees followed, recognizing Ms. Lea A. Flores, Elementary Faculty; Mr. Paul Vincent M. Ilagan, Junior High School Faculty; Mrs. Krisza Matining, Senior High School Faculty; Mrs. Kristine P. Jabat, College Faculty; Ms. Faith Marie Sy, Non-teaching Personnel; Mr. Christian M. Cavite, Maintenance Staff; Mrs. Lea B. Abacan, Mid-Level; Dr. Amor L. Borbon, ExeCom member.

Ms. Faith Marie Sy received the award as Overall Top Performer in Evaluation for SY 2024 – 2025.

With awards presented and updates shared, the mid-year assembly concluded with closing rites led by Sr. Ma. Añanita Borbon, RGS, PhD, as partners in mission offered prayers and commitment to strengthen the St. Bridget College community with renewed spirit and faith.

Mrs. Lea Abacan and Mr. Isidro Pelingon served as Masters of Ceremony.
