Through nurturing a strong research culture, encouraging student-led research, and creating meaningful opportunities that drive positive change for the future, St. Bridget College, Batangas City, in collaboration with participating schools, conducted Student Research Forum 2026 at Sr. Mary Clare Morrisey Hall on December 11, 2025. 

Under the theme “Carving Pathways for Progress through Student Research,” the forum provided a platform for Senior High School and College students from  St. Bridget College and other participating schools to showcase their research studies across a variety of topics. 

The presentations were held in concurrent sessions, allowing students to share their findings, engage in meaningful discussions, and address inquiries from the panel of judges. 

The event commenced with a keynote speech delivered by Dr. Richard D. Sanchez, Founder and President of Embracing the Culture of Research (ETCOR) Educational Research Center, Inc. In his address, Dr. Sanchez underscored that research extends beyond academic inquiry, serving as a vital instrument for developing critical thinking, addressing societal challenges, and creating tangible opportunities for student growth. 

The forum also recognized outstanding achievements, presenting numerous awards for both individual and group research recognitions.  

The award, Best Individual Presenter, was given to Crisha Stephanie E. Cueto  of Mahabang Dahilig Senior High School; Niño Carlo A. Castroverde of Gulod Senior High School; Yesha Mae P. Bucay, BSBA; Charles David N. Macalinao, BSSW; Czejan C. Punzalan, BSED; Antonette R. Mandigma, BEED; Jed Bisa, BSIT; Jane Marian P. Ebora, SHS-ABM; Ma. Zulita N. Gondra, SHS-HUMSS; and Carmel Faye Marie G. Bool, SHS-STEM.  

Best Research Award was given to “Development of Prototype Voice Operated Eco-Lamp to Mitigate Power Outage and High Electricity Bill: Enhancing Sustainable Lighting for the Residents of Talahib Payapa, Batangas City” authored by Lyris Vivien D. Marasiga, Jhess Vincent B. Perez of SHS-ABM; “Effects of Sleep Deprivation to the Academic Performance of Senior High School Students at St. Bridget College, Inc.” by Kloe Nicole M. Rosales, Frances Marie C. Beyond celebrating their accomplishments, the annual research event inspires students to explore new ideas, cultivate curiosity, and take initiative in pursuing meaningful research studies. 

The success of the event was made possible through the efforts of the Institutional Research, Planning, and Publications Office, headed by Dr. Imelda B. Vergara, along with Institutional Research Committee members, namely Mrs. Lea B. Abacan, Ms. Veronica Claire L. Aquino, Mrs. Kristine P. Jabat and Mrs. Filipina C.
