With the arrival of a new school year bringing significant change to the education system of multiple institutions, St. Bridget College introduced the adopted reforms through a thorough orientation, easing the students into a transition period that allows them to adapt to the sudden revisions, June 16-19, 2026.
St. Bridget College’s initial orientation, conducted before the official beginning of the school year, focused on presenting the various changes adopted from the reforms implemented by the Department of Education.
This included guidelines on the implementation of the three-term structure mandated by DepEd Order 009, s. 2026, as well as the standards for academic excellence, providing students with an overview of academic expectations and schedules.
Aiming for a better understanding of the different offices within the campus, school policies, and student behavior, the different departments of the institution lead the onboarding program following the initial orientation.
With “Begin, Become, Belong” set as the theme for the Student Onboarding Program held in the opening block of the term, the first day consisted of simple introductions, welcoming the students to the beginning of the school year.

On this day, the Bridgetines met their advisers for the year, were introduced to the routines, expectations, and guidelines they were expected to follow, and were oriented to the opportunity to be a leader within their class, thus officially beginning their school year at SBC.
The second day included the familiarization of the Aralinks Learning Management System (LMS) and school automate, the introduction to the subject teachers and the expectations that come along with the subject, and the anti-bullying session that occurred in the afternoon, promoting respect and accountability among students.

St. Bridget College also participated in the nationwide earthquake drill earlier that day, preparing the students, teachers, and personnel for possible seismic emergencies and promoting awareness of proper safety procedures.
The third day brought the orientation week to a close by introducing the various offices of the institution, including the guidance and registrar’s office, meeting the faculty of the Junior High School Department, and showcasing the clubs, fostering a sense of community, and helping students in finding a place where they feel safe and belong.
With a successful orientation marking the official launch of the school year, the Bridgetines have laid a strong foundation for the academic year ahead.
