St. Bridget College held a safeguarding training for its designated safeguarding contact persons on August 11, 2026, at the Mary Dominica Function Hall, SBC, Batangas City.

With Sr. Ailyn Bingco, RGS, as the facilitator, the training focused on how to keep students safe and how to respond when a student reports a concern or possible abuse. It also discussed proper staff conduct, reporting procedures, and the duties of safeguarding contact persons.

The participants also made a risk assessment for their respective departments. They identified possible risks in school areas and activities, such as slippery floors and stairs, flooding, crowded pathways, off-campus activities, student supervision, and the use of student photos and personal information.

They also prepared a Safeguarding Action Plan for School Year 2026–2027. The plan includes staff orientations, Code of Conduct signing, safety checks, student supervision, and safety preparations for off-campus activities and school events.

The training ended with the participants signing a confidentiality contract, which reminds them to keep safeguarding concerns and related information private.

The activity aims to help the school improve its safeguarding practices and provide a safer environment for students.
