Aiming to strengthen collaboration and enhance instructional practices, administrators and faculty gathered in a day-long Seminar on Establishing an Effective Professional Learning Community (PLC) held on February 10, 2026, at the SBC MQP Auditorium and SME Function Hall, St. Bridget College, Batangas City.
Participants from the St. Bridget College Basic Education Department, College Department, and St. Bridget College Alitagtag attended the event to deepen their understanding of Professional Learning Communities.
In her opening remarks, Sr. Ma. Añanita Borbon, RGS, PhD, highlighted the importance of unity among teachers in achieving educational goals.
The seminar featured Dr. Cynthia C. Arcadio, the Executive Director of the Phoenix Educational Foundation and academic consultant to various Catholic schools and organizations, as the guest speaker, who discussed the PLC Lite, PLC Right, and PLC Tight, and strategies for building and sustaining an effective Professional Learning Community.
Dr. Arcadio facilitated discussions and collaborative activities where teachers grouped with colleagues teaching the same subject areas.
Through these sessions, participants explored ways teamwork and shared practices that could improve classroom instruction and support students’ academic success.

The seminar concluded with the awarding of certificate and token of appreciation to Dr. Arcadio in recognition of her contribution to the event.
The activity ended with a message encouraging educators to work closely as one team, prioritize students’ welfare, and continue nurturing their passion for teaching.
The activity was organized by the Professional Learning Community Program Team, which include Mrs. Evangeline S. Faigmane, Mrs. Nora P. Cabatay, Ms. Jhoanna Maria B. Vergara, and Mrs. Maria Grace D. Andal, and Mrs. Desiree I. Borillo, PLC Team head.
