Senior high school Bridgetines shone in triumph at the Association of Science and Mathematics Educators of Public and Private Schools (ASMEPPS) National Battle of Math and Science Champions and ASMEPPS National Marathon of Skills and Talents held at Easter College, Guisad Central, Baguio City, Benguet, February 20-21, 2026.

In the ASMEPPS National Marathon of Skills and Talents, Margaux Ysabelle V. De Villa of STEM 2 and Patricia Louise C. Aguila of STEM 2 both rose to victory after being hailed as champions in the Drawing Competition and Poster Making Competition, respectively.

“Personally, it felt very rewarding to win as a champion in this year’s ASMEPPS [Drawing] competition,” shared De Villa.

She further expressed that it was rewarding to see her years of hard work finally being recognized.

“Honestly, my passion for the arts just comes from my genuine enjoyment of the process, along with the people I meet through this medium. Especially in this day and age where art is so often undermined and self-expression is so limited, I find it so important that I cherish this skill and hobby.”

Poster Making champion Aguila then revealed that she encountered difficulties during her preparations prior to her contest.

“I didn’t quite get rid of that nervous feeling of mine, since feelings such as this are hard for me to control, but I still did try my best to keep myself calm enough to keep myself from panicking too much. I also overcame that dreadful feeling by trusting that I am more than capable of doing this,” stated Aguila.

“I have made it this far, and I refused to let my fear of failure control my will to persevere.”

Additional arts standouts included Aiekha P. Torres of STEM 3 who garnered 2nd place in Sci-Modeling Female Category, Leanor Kacee S. Montalbo of HUMSS 2 who claimed 2nd place in Science Creative Writing Filipino, Precious Sydney Ramirez of STEM 5 who secured 3rd place in Science News Writing English, Kurt Maverick Vitug of STEM 2 who earned 4th place in Dance for the Environment, and Mark Denver V. Balse of STEM 5 who placed 8th in Solo Singing.

In addition, Gia Margaret R. Lacsamana of HUMSS 2 participated in Science Creative Writing English, while Jaedin Kristopher U. Declaro of STEM 1 competed in Science Feature Writing Filipino.
