Embracing the spirit of empowerment, unity, and purpose, Bridgetines from Alitagtag, Batangas City, and Quezon City came together to celebrate the International Day of the Girl Child held at Manuela Q. Pastor Auditorium, St. Bridget College, Batangas, October 11.
With the theme, “Bridge-tines United: Breaking Barriers, Unveiling New Horizons, the event brimmed with illuminating and empowering talks, vibrant performances, and an enthusiastic socialization among the three Bridget schools.
Attended by Grade 12 Students and student leaders of different levels of three Good Shepherd Schools, the day was a powerful convergence of youthful energy and leadership, sparking new ideas and shared goals.
Two empowered speakers and both SBC alumnae, Dr. Kate Conception and Ms. Ma. Gloria Isabelle “Belle” Pechay, inspired participants to break through societal barriers, embrace their potential, and strive for positive change in their communities. Their talks highlighted insightful and uplifting dialogues, focusing on issues related to girls’ rights, gender equality, and the power of education.
Moreover, the celebration featured an array of activities aimed at empowering girls and young women, fostering a sense of belonging and confidence.
Adding to the excitement were the vibrant performances and engaging games, which showcased the talents and creativity of Bridgetines.
More than just a celebration, the IDG 2024 at St. Bridget College-Batangas was a strong reminder that Bridgetines are not only students but advocates of compassion, justice, and equality.
The event concluded with a socialization session at the SBC gym, fostering new friendships and connections among the three Bridget communities, marking a day of unity, empowerment, and hope for a better tomorrow.
