Four college Bridgetines stood in radiance in their research presentations at the international level as they were adjudged outstanding research presenters in the Series of International Research Capability-Building Seminar-Workshop cum International Research Conference / Paper Presentations held on May 16, 2024 via Zoom.
Janelle G. Aguila, BSED – English, presented her research titled “Motivational Factors Affecting the Improvement of Learner’s English Language Speaking Skills”; while Ahngel D. Javier, BEED, shared the study, “Determinants of Reading Motivation Among Key Stage 2 Pupils in Selected Public Schools: Basis for Reading Intervention Plan”.
Rhea Pe F. Bayeta, BSSW, and Angelica Joyce D. Hernandez presented their research, “The Effects of Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4P’s) to its Former Beneficiaries” and “Programs and Services for Children in Conflict with the Law in a Youth Rehabilitation Center in Batangas”, respectively.
The four student presenters demonstrated their skill and competence in research presentation as they responded to the questions of Mr. Glen B. Millar of Faith Colleges and Dr. Jahfet N. Nabayra of Aklan State University who served as the judges or the panel members of the research presentation.
Aside from the presentations, the said students also had the opportunity to attend the session on Strengthening the Quality Inquiry through Related Literature and Studies facilitated by Mary Easter Claire S. Perez-Torres, LPT, RPm, RPsy, CHRA, CHIIS, CMHA, Associate Professor of the University of Perpetual Help System – Laguna (JONELTA Campus) Bińan, Laguna.
Polytechnic University of the Philippines, Caraga State University, Lyceum of the Philippines University Batangas, and Tarlac State University also sent their representatives to participate in the event.
Furthermore, Dr. Imelda B. Vergara, Institutional Research, Planning, and Publications Officer of St. Bridget College, was recognized for her invaluable time and expertise as one of the Session Co-Chairperson of the conference.
The aforementioned college students also qualified to participate in the upcoming awarding ceremony of ETCOR’s “International Awards for Most Outstanding Educators, Researchers, Professionals, and Humanitarian Advocates”, Recognition of Research Consultants, Researchers, and Authors (Mid-year Conferment of Awards) on July 6, 2024, at the Quest Plus Conference Center, Clark, Pampanga.
Embracing the Research Culture (ETCOR) Educational Research Center (ETCOR) with Dr. Richard Sanchez, founder and head consultant, organized the said activity.
