A vibrant atmosphere of joy and gratitude embraced the Bridgetine community as they came together to honor the invaluable service of priests during the annual Priests’ Day celebration at St. Bridget College on August 29, 2025.
One of the highlights of the event was the Eucharistic Celebration held at the Basilica of Immaculate Conception, presided over by Most Rev. Ramon C. Arguelles, DD, STL, Archbishop Emeritus of Lipa, and concelebrated by fellow priests. The Archbishop delivered a homily

emphasizing that God is the reason for everything. He urged attendees to avoid selfishness, embrace their own crosses, and serve others, reminding everyone of the importance of participating in the sanctity of life and becoming one with the mission of Jesus Christ.
Following the Eucharistic celebration, the community engaged in an Encounter with the Priests, featuring 13 invited clergy from various congregations, including Bridgetine priests, Eudists, and other religious groups within the Archdiocese, as well as 11 seminarians who joined the event. This gathering, branded as “Couch Talk: Coffee and Calling,” provided an opportunity for groups of students to connect with the priests and foster a deeper understanding of the journey of priesthood.Â

Additionally, organized interaction activities took place in classroom settings, where priests introduced themselves and shared glimpses of their lives and experiences. This allowed participants to engage in a lively question-and-answer session, deepening their understanding of the spiritual journeys and commitments of the clergy.

As a token of appreciation, the priests were presented with gifts following the encounter, symbolizing the community’s gratitude for their dedicated service.
The college president, Sr. Ma. Añanita Borbon, RGS, thanked them for their dedicated service to the Church and encouraged the community to support and pray for their ongoing mission.
The event was organized by the Center for Formation and Praxis Office, led by CFP Officer Mrs. Ma. Socorro M. Lalap.
